Corrections Policy
How readers can report an error and how CivilsIASPrep reviews, corrects and records material changes.
Reporting an issue
Readers can use the contact page to report a factual, sourcing, date, attribution, accessibility or interpretation problem. Include the page URL, the disputed sentence and a supporting primary or authoritative source when available. Do not send passwords, payment credentials, identity documents or private learner information with an editorial correction request.
Review process
We compare the claim with the cited source, check whether the source has been superseded and determine whether the issue is factual error, unclear wording, missing context, reasonable disagreement or a technical display problem. Time-sensitive statistics and institutional details are checked against the applicable publication period. Review priority is higher when an error could materially mislead examination preparation.
How corrections appear
Minor grammar or formatting fixes may be applied without a notice. A material correction changes the page’s reviewed or modified date and should clarify the corrected substance when that context benefits readers. We correct the canonical page rather than publishing a second competing URL. Sitemaps and IndexNow can then notify participating search engines that the page changed.
Limits and disagreement
UPSC preparation includes interpretation and evaluation. We do not label a reasoned disagreement as a factual correction merely because another source reaches a different conclusion. We will, however, revise a page that presents interpretation as settled fact, omits a decisive qualification or relies on a source that does not support the claim.
